band images

My band/ magazine are based on the genre of rock, so i have looked at some rock band posters for inspiration.

Fall out boy

The camera is situated at low angle to make the band look as if they are powerful. also they image behind there seems to be a crown of some kind (this to is to make the band look powerful and incharge). most of the members are in black clothing, the lead singer isnt though, this is to single him out and make the audience focus on him. behind them the scenery seems to be out side and that the image is in the sky. This image seems to be very light for a rock poster.



 Black veil brides

This image is very dark and gives the audience a sence of evil may occure. because of the dark colours their very little skin that is shown is a deep contrast. All of the band is looking straight a head (direct address). The leader of this band is infront of the others this may to show that he is incharge or maybe is more recognized by his audience.

Linkin Park

This image is very dark, the poster looks as if has been splattered by ink, or that it is an old photo of the band. Most of the band is looking out of the poster which may intrest the poster. The name is in the centre and in white, i think is because it shows a deep contrast between the rest of the poster and stands out even more.

 Metallica

Everything in this poster is dark. The band looks angry and are looking straight of the poster, but the interesting thing is that they are all wearing sun glasses, this could be to show that they are big stars or to hide their eyes to convey this idea that they are a little mysterious.



My target audience

i want to attract the same audeince as these bands do, so i am going to make the image look dark. I do like the idea of the lead singer being in slightly different styled clothes than the rest, or maybe having them situated slightly foward than the rest of the band.
